I call them pictures most of the time... only photos when I am shooting professionally like at weddings.

Photos is a more corect term if you are talking about those which you made with a cam or such a device.Pictures would be the ones you draw,or someone else made by drawing,writing,,,

Photos are taken on cameras.
Pictures are paintings, drawings, sketches.
However, these days especially in Chat, almost 99% say ''Pics" or ''Pix''........as in pictures.

I always say photos unless they are really pictures.

Photos, I have tons of them hanging in my living room
of my sisters granchildren and my grand children
they grow up so fast, and I like keeping the memories..=-)
