For example... your standing considerably far back from the counter trying to determine what you want, eyes are looking up at the menu...and a employee will interup your thought and say "may I help you." Dont you think if I was ready to order I WOULD WALK UP TO THE COUNTER AND ORDER!! Sorry...that is one of my BIGGEST pet peeves.

Most restaurants have a "standard" amount of time in which the employee has to respond to each customer. If you are within 4 feet of the counter, they are required to acknowledge you in 30 seconds.
This is in direct response to customers complaining that the employees don't pay attention to them. Catch 22.

Burger King. The burgers are larger - i don't in basic terms propose in length, yet style as properly. The salads and dressings i come across plenty greater suitable. As i've got not got Taco Bell in uk to analyze too, would I upload that if I have been to replace KFC for Taco Bell, KFC might then win. That pronounced, I do desire the McDonald's breakfast menu.

employees are trained to make contact as soon as possible. As an employee what ticks us off is people who eat fast food regularly and don't know what the heck they want.
I have a rule in my car it goes like this..If you haven't told me what you want by the time I pull to the speaker you don't eat.

You all might consider the same thing. Fast food employees are evaluated by the speed of their service so help us out. Remember we don't come take the squeegee out of your hand at the corner to slow you down. Don't mess with our livelihood either.

I know from working at fast food, the first day when you start training, you are told that you need to do that, and we have to do it all the time. It's not the fault of the workers, we are just doing our jobs. And trust me, the workers sometimes have problems with customers as well. One of my biggest pet peeves is people who come to drive thru and don't know what they want. Then they get huge lines backed up behind them while they spend 5 minutes deciding. If you don't know what you want, come inside.

I think fast food employees are just rude in generally. And have you noticed, they always pick the stupidest ones for the drive through window!! LOL! Every time I order something I have to repeat myself at least three times and when I get my order they still don't get it right!!!!! They aren't pleasant or nice, they're always rude and you're lucky if they even look at you. They just hand you the food and close the window!!!! I don't go inside fast food places anymore because of experiences like this and the ones you've experienced because I think next time I would have to jump over the stupid counter and kick their @!#!!!! LOL

Yes it's annoying, but it's what they are trained to do. It's called customer service, likely because some people would be offended if they didn't have someone offer "instant service" the moment they walked through the door. We all know all important in their own minds people like that don't we?

From experience as a youth working in fast food, you are trained to be help oriented. Employees are regualarly 'shopped' by corporation they work for, and are evaluated. One of the first things these 'shoppers' look for is the initial greeting. Don't get put off by this- and be thankful they even give a care about you. Nothing is worse than being hungry and having to wait.

Agree ,agree, agree! Well I live in KC Missouri and we have a Gates Barbecue and as soon as you walk through the door you don't even get up to the menu and they holler"May I Help You!" That is what they are supposed to do but it is so annoying sometimes and every time they do it I laugh.

Yeah that makes me mad also.
Me & my mom will be standing far back looking at the menu [they can tell we are, because we are talking amongst each other.] And they either raise their voice and say NEXT! or May i Help you?
So i say "Sorry, we're still looking."

I lose my train of thought, and have to take another 5 minutes looking at the menu.
