He may be our best hope, although my own preference is for Dr. Mary Ruwart. Paul for president and Ruwart for vice-president would be heaven!

The Libertarian Party is not to the "left" or "right" at all. We have made a new political map. See "The World's Smallest Political Quiz" at www.libertarianism.com.
BTW, the Libertarian Party holds its convention enough after the R & D parties that my scenario is reasonably plausible.

He might. That's where he belongs in the 1st place.

No. He clearly believes that the best way of getting a libertarian future is to work within the Republican party.
The only reason he would jump ship is if he believed that the Libertarian party was a viable political party. It is not their yet, so he won't jump parties.
He is getting more air time running in the primaries for president then he did when he ran as a Libertarian.
I'll support Ron Paul in the Republican primary and when he loses, I will support Steve Kubby in the Libertarian Party.

I doubt it. A lot of states have "sore loser laws" that would prevent him from being on the ballot in an independent or third party bid after losing in a major party.
Anything's possible this year, though. I wouldn't be surprised if we see as many as three significant "third party" candidates this time.
But realistically, it's still nearly impossible to get enough votes to win on a third party ticket. Last time it happened was Abraham Lincoln, if that tells you anything.
If I were you, I'd put your effort into helping him get the Republican nomination. When Reagan got the Republican nomination, he also needed a lot of third party folks help to get it. So, if you're serious, make it happen. This is the most realistic chance we've had in decades.

I really hope someone legitimate runs on third party, like Ross Perot did in 1992, and makes a serious stand that rips this country a new one so we can be like Canada and England has been in the past with not just dumb and dumber but have more real competition for the Presidency of the United States of America.

Probably not. He is very much a Republican. I don't know why he labels himself a Lib. He is not. He is Pro-Life and Anti-Gay Rights.
Libertarians are very much pro-civil Liberties for everybody in this country. They are actually on the far left even more so than Democrats on social issues.
I am a Libertarian.

"If" Ron Paul doesn't get the Republican nomination? I didn't even know he had a shot at it. When you are a Republican running against big business and the Federal Reserve, I'm pretty sure you won't get nominated.

It'll never happen. He has run under the Libertarian label before, and he'll probably do it again. But don't kid yourself that he'll get more than a smattering of votes.

Don't bother with this. He has no chance of being nominated. This is because the party, which actually does the nominating, knows that he is not a winner. And, winning is everything.

He wants to eliminate the Federal Reserve. If he even gets close to being elected they will kill him. Wonder why the media gives him ZERO coverage. Look no further then
big business. He doesn't want to play their game. He isn't bought. Whats really sad is that most of mainstream America doesn't even realize how they are being played.

How could anyone vote for a person that voted against a National Amber Alert that would also increase penalties for kidnappers of children? I don't get it. What is important to people? Is legalizing pot more important than our kids? If he is our best hope we might as well call in the dogs and piss on the fire.
