Cabomba is the name you are looking for and it will be ok in your tank most likely. Cabomba does require a moderate to high level of light to grow well, but it can survive in lower light levels. It's certainly worth a try!

Hello, live plants do need good amount of light. Natural sunlight is something you should b looking for. Secondly, The plans need a good thick layer of the sand. I have observed that the fish tend to eat live plants. You can still use the plants which are growing in nature. Kepping the tank clean should be done correctly. Live plants in an aquarium are more beneficial to fish than plastic ones. Most aquarium plants require light to grow as with most plants. Your fish will need the oxygen that the plant puts in the water, and the fish will also eat some of them as necessary parts of their diet. Live plants provide more nutrients than dried fish food. Your pet shop will be able to tell you what plants will grow in your tank and best for the type of fish you have and how long and what watt lights to use.

The plants you put there should survive. The first week you get your plants there will be a lot of leaf losses and they will grow as long as you provide them with care (nirates and phosphates, lights , CO@ [in the mornings] etc.)
