The women [and some men] who are obsessed w/shoes are reincarnated from the old chinese tradition of foot binding.
They can't get enough foot wear... and they subject themselves to the agony of spike heels.
Only someone who'd known true foot torture could consider wearing spikes all day as reasonable.
What do you think?

That is an interesting way to look at it. I am not really a believer of rebirth, I do think Karma does have a little to do with life, but I just like all types of shoes because my feet are a size 8 and 1/2...big to me... and if I can find shoes that I think look good on my feet I buy them because it is hard to find shoes that look good on my big ole feet LoL

I always felt that shoes were invented, specifically, to protect the feet from injury, shock and from infectious germs. I cannot imagine any good reason why someone would wear spikes or endure the pain of food binding. It makes no sense whatsoever. Comfort is 100 percent more important to me than looks. I think those who waste money on spikes are mentally challenged BECAUSE they encourage shoe manufacturers to make and to market spikes! In addition, there are many comfort shoes that are very attractive to look at. Imbalance of the body along with foot pain are EXTREMELY UGLY.

I like that!
Being only 5' tall, I have small feet and I used to have a hard time finding shoes in my size. Since I've gotten older, my feet have finally grown to a size 6 and it has gotten a little easier. I'm still not a shoe hoarder, nor will I ever go back to wearing spike heels like I used to when I was in my 20's.
This theory is remarkable in my opinion!

I love spiked heels and if you get a good quality shoe and right fit they are very comfortable. They make me feel more feminine. But I love all types of shoes and sorry, I don't agree with the chinese foot binding theory .

You bring up two different issues....shoe fetishes being one, and the agony of spiked, high heals as another.

I believe that women are drawn to shoes because they fit...plain and simple. You don't have the same issues that you would have if you are trying to buy pants. As far as the spiked heals go...you may be on to something...I can't imagine wearing them all day!

i agree with you. i hate heels, even though i'm short. i wear very moderate to low heels (my favorite shoes are none at all!)

i suppose there is a time and a place for spike heels, i just don't have the time nor the places to go dressed like that!

yes, it's agony, just like corsets which (no way!!) are a hype nowadays. It's a subliminal message. No they can't beat us anymore, but they can control and torture us through our own vanity. Sorry i don't want back pain and broken ribs for the sake of fashion and sex-craving maniacs who want to portray women as sex dolls.

I think women who love shoes have a low self image. I used to have ridiculous amounts of shoes. I'd go shopping for clothes and not find anything I thought I looked good in and would end up buying shoes everytime.
