Couldn't help thinking, bet you wish you could rewind,...rewind :-) It's not beyond the realms of possibility that if you contact you're water/sewerage company and tell them what has happened there is, albeit remote, a chance that it may turn up at their treatment works, I know they do get these things appear on occasions. No harm in trying.

Oh, no!
Unless you've got a sluggish flush due to a partial clog, probably not. But don't trust strangers like me. Call a plumber, right now--and don't flush again, or run water needlessly, since the ring could still be in the house's pipes.

Call the insurance company. That's about the only thing you can do now. If you have false teeth, just be glad they didn't drop in as well as I'm sure you were quite shocked from this jaw-dropping experience.

Your best bet is to call in a drainage company with cctv, they will be able to trace the drain pipe work and look for the ring. In all probability the ring will be found close to the waist pipe.

If you can't see it your out of luck, you could contact your local
water company because it could end up on the filter beds at the sewage farm.
If you have a receipt you may be able to claim on your household insurance. Good luck.

There is a slight possibility that you may recover it from the main plumbing 'trap' in your building. In order to get it open you are most likely going to have to have a professional and shut down the rest of the building.

You might be lucky and it could be in the pipework ?, try lifting the manhole cover off outside your house and see if its there ?.
Good Luck !.
