I am writing a book, and there are two main characters, both male. One is popular and preppy/jock and could be on a football team, he has all the pretty girls at his heels and stuff, and he's a perfectionist. Basically, he looks like Heath Ledger (different, but thats the basic look he has going for him).
The second one is very shy, doesn't have any friends, he's skinny, girlish, no one really knows him though he loves art and poetry, and usually spends lunch time (I'm thinking of making this at a high school) in the corner with a notebook/sketch pad, and no one ever sees him eat. Basically, he's an emo kid xP Only very sweet. When people talk to him, he has a very, very, very kind voice and responds with as little as possible.
I was thinking for the second one I wanted it to be something girlish, or darkish (not TOO dark but y'know) and for the first one something common and preppish. Any suggestions would be GREAT! Thank you!

Baby name books are usually quite useful for ideas but personally I think:

1st character: Dean, Callum, Joey, Tyler, Sean, Logan, Owen
2nd character: Martin, Brendon, Samuel, Adrian, Adam, Keith, Jonathon

Hope these help. =)

The kinda preppish one should be Scott and maybe Mikhail or something like that for the emo kid.

Heath is fine for the jock.
Noah is a name for an Emo kid or to make it girlish use Vivian or Lesley.

First guy: Alex Cooper? Seth Wright? Ryan Maroni? Dustin Kreller?

Second one: Calvin East? Aaron Winiter? Leland Varcy?

Yeah I know the last first name was mine, but it might work. Feel free to switch around the last names and first names. Hope it helps. Personally I like Dustin Kreller and Aaron Winiter best, but, your choice.
