This question is obviously addressed to non-Americans.
Even if you have never been to the United States (just like me), I'm sure you have some impressions about it, as American culture spreads around the world more than any other.
When I was a child, there was only one TV channel where I lived, and most of the foreign movies and series were American.
I liked the style of American cities: tall skycrapers and large avenues (yes, we can find large avenues in the city where I live as well).
I like McDonald's and Pizza Hut (I'm not sure that Pizza Hut supplies the best pizzas where I live, though).
I like country music.
I like American English (while I like all accents of English, American English is the one that sounds the best in my ears).
I'm sure that the United States has a lot more to offer, but nothing else comes to mind at the moment...
What I dislike?
Well... The fact that people seem to worth for the money they have...

hey im fom venezuela. i like that theres (mostly) a good law system. ppl who deserve to be in jail actually go to jail. i also like the general security, the fact that one can be out late without being too worried. i love the simplicity of the language, and i love the fact that anyone can do anything in this country they set out to do.
however,
i hate the feet, inches, crap...they should stablish the metric system like the rest of the world.
also i get aggravated most of the time at the lack of general culture knowledge from most americans (NOT ALL). sometimes they ask me if venezuela is an island...or (omg) if there are cars and televisions there...they sometimes think the rest of the world is nothing more than an unexplored jungle...
i also dont like the fact that everyones out to show off watever they got..and competing with the neighbors...orver cars and stuff like that

I appreciate your liking for some traits for American culture. This country offers a little bit of everything where ever you go. In the east, you have families from every culture and country living there, so there's a little bit of the world there. In the south, there are still families there from the beginning of slavery and plantations, the south is very charming, hospitable. the midwest is a complex mixture of everyone, where I'm from, so I have a greater acceptance for many things that is new here. The west is a wide, vast open range of wine and cheese makers, movie stars, nice weather all year long in the southwest. The North is open and beautiful with a much love for all things. So, you see, just like going anywhere else in the world, one must explore where they live first, then set foot out to join the rest. I still have much to see here in my country, but I also want to go out and see the rest of the world. Imaginary lines on a map is something that should not divide us, but somehow with our human mental capacity, it seems it does. Now, I want to learn more of your country...

As a former refugee from a communist country where my parents lost everything, and now an American citizen, what I admire about the U.S. is that for the most part you can succeed here with minimal problems. I mean you have some problems in America but for the most part it is a stable country where you have civil rights. I also admire the Democratic system (although I think many of our congressmen are idiots and crooks, and I don't admire Bush). But mostly, the American system works. What I also admire about the USA is its technological, scientific, and medical prowess. What I don't like here? The greed, spoiled Americans (who need three cars and a 10 room mansion for two?), and the lack of people with decent culture (Mcdonalds, and dressing like a slob, especially in semi-professional settings like church, or even at the airport is not good culture). We also have too many fat and out of shape people in the USA, which probably goes along with the greed and lack of decent culture. But, I still admire this country and it is one of the best places in the world to live. The problems we have here are much worse in other countries!

Please restate what you have listed as under what you dislike. The sentence makes no sense.
Here in America, when you speak of the American culture there are two different meanings. One is the traditional American culture the other is Pop culture or popular culture.
The traditional American culture is the culture of the rugged individualist. People free to persue their dreams. People free to make their own way and solve their own problems. A culture of ordinary people accomplishing extraordinary things.
Popular culture is the current fads or trends. TV shows, Movies, Recorded music, fashions etc.
