sometimes the scores are at
5-3 for during more than half hour..

i see on sportsbooks sets lasting for more than 1:30 hours.... isn't this just too long?

it lasts until someone wins 6 games and win by at least two games. if the set is tied at 6 games all it goes to a tiebreak which goes until someone scores 7 points and wins by two. if it is 7-6 for instance it goes until someone goes up by two. there is no set time but an average set lasts probably about 45 minutes or so

Hey,
I play tennis, not at professional level. Yes many of the points can get played out for a looooong time if you are evenly matched with your opponent. None of the points that I have played have lasted for and hour and a half, but for a professional player that seems normal. You would undertsnd this more if you were a tennis payer!


Tennis matches can last from between 20 mins to 2 1/2 hours (at my level). In a match you play to 6 games which is called a set, each game consisting for four points. Normally when playing an official match you play two or three sets depending on who wins the first two sets. I hope that this

As long as someone doesnt win the set, the tennis set lasts :)

There is no set time......it's by how many points you win...
