I have a 1983 Yamaha DT125, do the signals flash automaticly or do I have to flick the button on and off?

There is a flasher relay.
Push the switch L or R and let go.
The turn signals will continue to flash until you turn off the switch.
Same as a car.

You definitely have to push a button to turn them on because the bike wouldn't know when you wanted to turn. You probably have to turn them off too. I don't think they're self canceling.

you have to flick it on. then they should blink untill you shut them off
