on a brand new vehicle, they usually recommend taking it back to the dealer around 1500 miles. So they can inspect the oil to make sure there is no metal shavings and such. To make sure your new car is doing what a new car should do. Then after that, its suggested every 3000 or 3 months which ever comes first. Now this is typical to most dealers, after that you can change your oil pending your driving habits, such as this. If you put 100 miles or more a day"highway miles" you can extend your oil changes by up to 5000 miles. If you do alot of in town driving,or a lot of short trips i would still suggest every 3000. The reason for most of this is this, when you drive short trips, you heat up the oil and such, and it cools down, creating small trace amounts of condensation. Now when you drive your vehicle for long periods, it has a tendancy to evaporate all moisture residues in the oil. Short trips create this. You will never visually see this in your oil but its there.

3000 miles. However, on my new cars, I try to have the oil changed with 600-1000 miles. I like to get the start up oil out of the engine. If there are any metal shavings in the block from the casting process or any burrs on different parts that have been knocked off, the oil change gets them out quick.

The first change is different from the rest. Normally it is at only 1000 miles. After that most people say 3-5,000 miles. It also depends on the type of driving you do and type of oil you use.

First change is at 1000 miles. Then typically its around every 5000 to 7500 miles. I highly recommend having the oil and filter changed every 3000 to 5000 miles.

That depends on your car. Some have a "break-in" oil that has to be changed at 500 or 1000 miles; others don't need it until the standard change interval. You'd have to be more specific.

It all depends. For first oil change its generally 1000 KiloMeters. for new diesel cars its 4000 KMs and old diesel cars its 2500-3000 KMs. For New petrel cars its 6000 KMs and old petrel cars its 4000 KMs. It is recommended that you change your oil filter with every oil change. There are some synthetic engine oils available which run for even 10000 KMs but for old cars even synthatic oils are to be changed after every 5000-6000 KMs.
Gear oil engine oil and transmission oil should be changed after 40000 KMs.
If you refer to your car manul you will see an oil change schedule recommended by the car manufacturer. Generally if you go to a authorized service center of car manufacturers, they are more expensive than after markert parts. you can follow that if you want to
