I don't think the taking of a life is anything to be proud of, no matter what the circumstances. However, there are times when it could be justified, and even mandated morally. If it is to save your life or the life of others, and there is no other way to save that life, then killing your husband would be justified. It wouldn't be considered murder, though, since it is justifiable. There are other times when it is not justified, but excused, like if you walked in and found your spouse actually having sex with someone else and you reacted without thinking. However, if you took the time to find a weapon and plan the act that caused the spouse's death, that's murder. If you happened to have a gun in your hand and shot without thinking, that could be excused -- maybe not entirely, but maybe get it reduced to lesser offense.

Murder is often punishable by death or life in prison. Although I realise some cultures, like the French, are intrigued by 'crimes of passion', it is still punishable by serious jail time there, too. Anyway, a 'crime of passion' is usually between lovers or because of a love triangle, not between spouses. Killing a spouse is about as honorable as killing a sibling or a parent.
Do the brave and honorable thing like the rest of us and just divorce the bastard if you hate him.

I would not be proud... But if he physically or sexually abused me or my daughter... I would post a "question" on here requesting that everyone pray for my soul because she will be going to h*ll for murdering her husband. I think those are the only things that could drive me to kill anyone for that matter.
