Only two--the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh receive funding from the Civil List, Prince Philip receiving 359,000 pounds annually. As of 2004, 3/4 of the 9.9 million pound Civil List budget goes to salaries and running expenses of the royal household, according to the Manchester Guardian.
A Parliamentary Annuity funds states duties and staff of other members of the Royal Family, an amount that the Queen repays into the Privy Purse from her income from the Duchy of Lancaster. She, in turn, claims this against her personal tax bill, earning a yearly profit of 500,000 pounds.
