He is nearing 77 years. His dateof birth is 6th October, 1930.
He made his test debut against West Indies in January, 1952 and played his last test in February 1964 against South Africa.

Hi there,
Richie sure has been around for a long, long time. He was actually born in 1930. Actually near where I live, in Penrith, NSW. Odd really; he doesn't sound Aussie to me.
So, October 1930, that would make him 76 years old, going on 77 this year

One of the handsomest cricketer of his era and now a brilliant commentator Richie Benaud is an old man and if I am not wrong he is in late seventies but still going great guns. I wish him good heath and smiles.
