Did anyone go to the London Pride?
This was my first one ever and am not too sure about it... quite interesting but not too sure if that makes sense?

no i didn't go to london pride, unfortunatley i had to spend the day helping my parents redecorate the house, bleh! i would have sorely loved to go!

mark my words, next year i will be going, it's probably the one day of the year i can let my hair down and be who i want to be rather than wearing this pretend mask handed to me by society.

and to the above, the idea of pride is that we spend one day of each year celebrating our status as human beings, every other day is pride day for heterosexuals.

if homosexual people weren't made out to be so different from heteros, and were treated equally as they should be ( a basic right of being a human being), then gay pride would be nonsensical to everyone.

you just consider it nonsensical because all your life you've had things handed to you on a plate, you haven't had to campaign or protest for the right to equality, such as non discrimination in the work place, or for basic civil rights granted through marriage aswell as for the right to legally certify our relationships between each other.

It's not supposed to make sense. What sense is it that people have the need to tell everyone whom they're having sex with?

No, these things are only to focus attention on themselves. Look at it this way and it does make sense.
