I had one when I was a little kid, but I haven't used it since I was 11. I have since moved and was wondering, would any late fees or other fees be a factor in getting a new card, even if they weren't my fault, would there even still be a record of that 10 years later? Can I continue using my old card?

Ask at your local library. You should make a fresh application as an adult. Most likely there would be no record remaining of your previous card and you do not need to mention it

You cannot use your old card. If you live on your own, you have to bring two pieces of identification, such as an Internet bill or a permit or a license. Also, it may cost money, so bring a little extra with you. Then, talk to a librarian and ask for a card. Processing take up to 2 weeks.

Just go to your local library and request a new card. There's probably no record, since the sophisticated computarization we have in libraries today started less than 10 years ago.

i doubt the library keep records for that long . Please go get yourself one especially if you like to read and cannot afford to get new books like me. I would think that you could use your old card although now librarys use computer records so you might want to get a new card and they will do that for you . good luck and happy reading .

if you ask you libary, then they would know. but if you want a new card under the same account, then i will cost anything from 0$-7$. and yes, they will most likley have a record.

library cards are not all free of charge, if you are above 18 years of age many of them will require to pieces of identifaction one a photo and one bearing your current address so keep this in mind no use being unprepared.
