Difference is the Tigers are the defending American League champs with Bonderman, Verlander, Guillen, Polanco, and Magglio Ordonez all having great years (especially Ordonez) while Jeter, A-Rod, and Posada are the only ones for the Yankees actually producing and the pitching being awful this season. The only bad thing to me is that Posada should have been the starter instead of Pudge since Posada is having a better year by far over Pudge.

Considering it's a popularity contest I'm surprisesd there aren't more Yankees. Jeter, A-Rod, and Posada deserve to go but it shocks me someone like Cano or Matsui who doesn't deserve to go isn't there. Usally there is that 1 big person that doesn't deserve it. Luckily it seems to be avoided this year.
To the Person above me:The Angels have the best record in the AL followed by the Red Sox ,the Indians and then the Tigers.

The three that made the ASG are top contributors to our team and deserve to go. You can't argue that Alex, Derek or Jorge don't deserve it. They are at the top in every offensive category plus they're all good defensively. The Tigers deserve the attention as they are the reigning champs.

Rodriguez, Jeter, and Posada are the only 3 that deserve to be there. Of the whole team, those 3 seem to do well no matter what. I'm happy with just 3. I love the Yankees, but I do have to say that I would've been surprised had more Yankees made it. Besides we'll take what we can get.

I'm excited, as Jeter, A-Rod, and Posada all deserve to go. I'm glad that there aren't more so we don't have to hear about too many Yankees going like we usually do. Besides, as a Yankee fan, those three are the only guys that should go anyway.

Man does this give new meaning to the phrase-- "The truth hurts", hahaha!!! (Reading the Spankee fans comments...haha!) TESTY! TESTY!
I'm estatic & proud to see all the Tigers representing this year. Wow...we've came along way in the last 4 years baby! I mean we went from 1 to 6 players. It's ah-mazing, a complete transformation really! I think MOST of our team deserved to be representing...they're TOPS to me (& you) & finally the WORLD knows it too!! :D I love the fact that we have a heck of a lot more Players in the ASG then the NYY. Sweet Victory. ;) hehe! It feels wonderful!!!!

First off buddy, I could give a rat's @$$ of the All-Star Game because the Yanks only concern is they make to the playoffs to eventually go to the World Series (and win it all)!!! Now if the AL can win then it helps them much more to get home field through the WS. Also, the only reason that the Tigs have so many players because they lead the AL with the best record.

Now that Torre can't hand pick every Yankee as a reserve, like he used to in the past, the number of Yankees is diminishing.
Three is too many for a team well under .500 anyway.

i like the tigers.(I'm from Minnesota.) I think the yankees should be happy with who is going because they weren't doing well all season, and i think its good besause who else besides the tigers have 3 people going!!!
