She even found them on the patio and front porch, all 3 bathrooms. Is this a wish for fertility or luck from the previous owners? I can't find anything when I tried to Google it. Is this a superstition of some kind?

Spirits love to leave little "gifts" like coins. Its just their way of saying "hi, I'm looking out for you". It could be a deceased grandparent, parent or anyone else who would be close to her. Its nothing to be scared of. Like I said, its just a "sign" from them to let her know they are there.

The same thing happened to me when I moved into my apartment. There was a penny in each closet throughout the whole place. In some places there were two. There are a few reasons why this could be.
One, to wish the new tennant good luck. Everyone knows when you find a penny pick it up and all day long you will have good luck. Second, it could be that the past tennants beleived in spirits and this was there way of asking the spirits to be at peace. An offering of such, if you will. Or it could be that there was a problem with spirits in the past.
It really depends on the past tennants beliefs as to what the pennies mean.

If its possible maybe you can ask the previous owners what they meant by it. Also, if you know what their nationality was that might make your search for the answer easier, many superstitions change from one country to another. The person who placed these pennies may not be viewing them as money but more for the metallurgic properties.For ex. "copper as a luck talisman" might be way to search and see what comes up. If she keeps finding the pennies them it was not a person after all..then you need to explore different avenues:)

Olive Oyl said it best in an episode of 'Popeye' that I saw a very long time ago: "See a penny and pick it up. And all the day you'll have good luck." It sounds to me like the former owners are trying to wish you all the best with the new home.

Whoever vacated the place obviously left them there (probably face up) to wish the new tenant good luck, and health.
This is an old superstition, probably with no basis in fact, but it was a nice gesture on their part.

I've never heard of this superstition before, if it is one.
Hopefully it's for good luck. Maybe check with the real estate agent about the previous owner.

What this means is that someone living in the house before left a penny on the floor in each room. Perhaps you should call them and ask them why they did it.

Here's a thought. Did you have someone that crossed Over, and your daughter was close to this person? This is Good Luck from someone from the other side. There are many things that spirits do to get your attention and this is one of them.

Well, as weird as that is, all I have to ask of that is if they were all face-up. I heard from one of my classmates that is you find a penny face-up, it means good luck. I also heard that once you find a penny face-up, put it in your left shoe. *shrugs* 's all I have.
As advice already given, yeah, look up the previous owners...

It means that you will have good luck and who ever put the pennies in the rooms is wishing you good luck.
