Most definitely! Probably one of most common reasons for irregular periods. Of course there is also pregnancy, being underweight and other medical reasons. I'd say if you've been suffering stress that's probably the cause, I know it affects me that way sometimes. You'll find then when you feel less anxious you're period will start again. Try not to worry about your period being late as it is a vicious circle and you'll just get more stressed, making everything worse. Look after yourself and try to relax a little, you'll feel heaps better for it. All the best x

Yes, it can. Are you also accounting for the fact that there were only thirty days in November, not 31? Take a hot bath. Give it another few days. If it still hasn't arrived, go to the drugstore and get an EPT. Get on some REAL birth control, fachrissake. Continue to use condoms, but condoms alone are not enough. They can slip, they can break, they can leak. Usually they don't....but it only takes one break and a bit of bad luck and you'll be walking the floor at two a.m. with a wailing infant...is that what you want?

i was wonderin the same thing i am now pregnant n thought i could have been further along as in about 5 weeks further along than 2 ultrasounds have said i am.this was because i had missed a period before they say i got pregnant,i had lost a good friend a couple of weeks before i was due and just didnt come on.i took a pregnancy test and it was negative and this was a good few days after i should have come on.i am still worried that i could be further along but dont think it would be possible for them to say the baby measured 4.5cm if i was more than 11 weeks which is what they say i am.

It definately can yes. There are many times I have been worried about things and my period was late which left me feeling worried that I could be pregnant.

If you are in any doubt do a pregnancy test to rule out a baby

Mostly these things cause more periods, but it is also possible to delay them period. But in medical field, you must always rule out dangerous causes before saying it is due to stress.

Yes, I've had it come as late as the 35th day (as opposed to the 28th-30th day which is normal for me) when I've been emotionally burdened.
