(*sigh*) Fine..you want only one. Harry Chapin. I saw him in concert several times, and he was an amazing entertainer. It was one of the few times in my life I cried over the death of someone I didn't actually know personally.

I always liked Jim Croce and it was tragic how he died so young. Then you tie in the whole "Cat Stevens" insane Islam thing and it comes up Jim Croce, Winner!
