when on audio evreything sounds like donald duck?

That is caused when the playback speed of a tape recorder does not match the speed it was recorded at. (It was done by holding your thumb against the flange on the side of the tape reel, and it was called 'flanging') They have digital ways of doing it now, but the idea is the same. Look that up and you will find out more.
