What do people think of moving out there. Also anyone shed some light on nursing in America, how is it viewed over there? Any views, be random! Many thanks

Texas is just fine. It does get warm in the summer and cold in the winter. What else is new. There are lots of things to do and the big question is... What city id your husbands new job in? As far as nursing goes. There is a huge demand for nurses in the industry. Austin and San Antonio are great towns and there are some great beach city's as well. Don't let the nay Sayer's turn you off. Texas is like most places. Its what you make it. and the food is fabulous.

Texas is a huge state. You've got to be more specific as to where in Texas.

Nursing is a highly respected profession and nurses are very well paid. You will have to pass the Texas nursing exam and possibly the CGFNS (Commission Governing Foreign Nursing Schools) exam in order to get a license. I'm sure your college transcript will have to be evaluated too.

Texas is extremely hot right now, temperature wise. I wouldn't go there unless it was absolutely necessary. My best friend lives near Dallas and she is melting from the heat... well, when she's not hiding out from tornadoes, that is!

Why do you want to go to Texas? There are a lot of other places that are more pleasant in a variety of ways. :)
