Any suggestions for anything we could do to emphasise the point that we will not be cowed by terrorist tactics??

I am not scared, I am angry.
They are cowards attacking innocent civilians.
If they want to die for their cause then they should stand up and be counted. I'd be happy to take them on.
We could wear tee shirts with anti terrorist slogans on them.
It is important that we go about our business as normal to show them we are not frightened of their cowardly actions.

I have mixed feelings on this one. I watched BBC News 24 last night and I thought: well, it's very unlikely to happen to me. Then I thought about how it could have affected me without knowing. With the 7/7 bombings one of my (now) closest friends just missed the 30 bus that was targeted, to top it all off a dream I had last night showed me where my real feelings lie on this matter. They don't have me scared, they have me absolutely TERRIFIED. I tried to think of the reasoning behind it and came to the same conclusion over and over again, there is no reason, it's mindless killing.
To answer the second bit of your question, I would say that the best way forward is to react the same way we did when those bombs went off 2 years back. Take it in our stride and move on, easier said then done, but it's much better than letting these lethal bullies have their way with the world.

You need to take that opinion straight to the Muslim communitiy in your area and raise the roofs! These terrorists are "home grown" right in your country, and being recruited by these mosques.
You and your comrades, go there, and in a loud, unified voice, let them know that you are not afraid, that you will fight back, and you will ultimately be victorious over terrorism. Terror is a tool used to intimidate. When victims of terror cower, or say nothing, it strengthens the terrorists.
I'm very glad this series of attempted attacks was thwarted, but what about next time? Give 'em hell !!

There are billions of people in the world, and outside of Iraq, there are actually only a few thousand who have been killed through terrorism. So the chances are actually pretty low, and it'd be irrational to be too afraid of it as it is now.
The best way to emphasize that you won't surrender to terrorists would be to support the mission against the terrorists in Iraq. Maybe attack Iran too.

I'm not that scared, living in London. 7/7 has been the only successful attack, and (although the deaths were tragic) 52 fatalities out of over 7 million Londoners is not that many.
By definition, terrorists aim to scare, so by refusing to be scared and continuing using buses and tubes despite the 'Critical' threat of terrorism at present, each one of us can help to fight terrorism.

I do know what is ahead for us, how?
Becasue they braodcast what they are planning on doing. they want to convert eveyone to their brand of religion, short of this they will kill everyone that will not convert.
What can we do, we can realize that we face an enemy that is more dangerous than the Nazis were in WW2, they only thinkg that will make them back down is if they think we will kill their families, this is from thire own confession via Israels Mossad.
When asked what would it take to stop they said if I knew that you would kill my family then I would not go thru with the suicide bombing, there are estimated 40,000 suicide bombers trained for war. This is what we face along with a couple nut bags that have the nuke.
Do we have the fortatude to fight this enemy, I think we do not, we are trying to appease them and one will never win a war this way, you meet them with more force, this is the only way to secure peace.
I do believe most Americans want peace, most Isarealis want peace, most Irainians want peace, but the leaders of Iran do not want peace. We have a war on our hands and it will turn ugly very soon,they will make a move on Jerusalem to cement all Muslims together then we will face someone that can and will defeat us.

British Muslim terrorists, hmmm, and you have proof of that statment, other than the very Government who want you cowed, or perhaps you are just repeating crap from the Daily Mail.
Why not post a similar question for all Iraq citizens, those in Iraq and those who have been forced to flee their Country. And the question: Just wanted to know if these American and British terrorists troops have us all scared or not.
As to what one might do to a Country, or terrorists who rape and bomb your Country, well you could take the war to their streets, as the IRA did in London, with great success.
Where you invade a neighbours house, rape his wife, murder his children and deem him a worthless person in his own home, do not be surprised or come crying when he comes to visit your home soon after, armed for revenge.

No I'm not scared and never will be, one or two men with a bomb will not change this country. Even Hitler with his whole air force or the IRA with all their bombs could not frighten the people of Britain. So no muslim extremist will manage to destroy the indomitable spirit of this nation with cowardly tactics.

No, not scared......angry, yip, I'd do angry!! I'll tell you what I'd....a guy who worked in a mortuary in London was caught doing this, and it made me think?
If they kill themselves, or are killed during an act of terrorism, so they get their 70 Virgins, right? I'd place 100 rashers of bacon, yip, back, streaky, whatever....all over the corpse, and then instead of going on to greatness, they would spend eternity in hell and damnation!!!
I personally wouldn't care less what anyone did to my corpse, but apparently, it REALLY matters to them?!!!! Shame that, eh? Bastards!!!
