Opt for prison they will probably release a rapist or murderer to make room for you, and you will be able to smoke as much as you like in there, even grass man.

I hardly think they will send you to prison if you dont pay the fine when they are releasing dangerous sex offenders due to overcrowding in prisons.
Yet again, knowing this country, they will be releasing them to make room for the people who break the smoking ban.

It would cost a heck of a lot more than 50 quid to keep you in prison.
Refuse to pay the fine and let me know what happened :-)

that would be defeating the object if they sent us to prison for breaking the smoking ban as in prison they are exempt and can puff away to their hearts content.... but knowing this idiotic state we live in that will probably happen - all the smokers will end up inside.... woohoo ciggies and no council tax :)

For God's sake, stop being a bloody drama queen!!! We've had it in Scotland for over a year and it was a piece of cake!! Just go outside, it's no big deal, the crack is great outside with all the other smokers!! Crikey, I smoke between 20-30 a day, it hasn't put me up nor down, so give it a rest!!!

Just refuse to pay then they will take you to court and hopefully give you your wish and send you to prison for a long time.
