All motherboards, even 5 or 6 years old have 2 or more PCI slots. Here's a picture:

You may have to open the PC case to see if there is a vacant slot. But do take note that PCI bus is different from PCI Express. PCI is now too SLOW for 3D graphics (games). It is not worth investing in expensive PCI cards that just get bottlenecked by the slow PCI bus.

best way to find out is to open up the side of your computer case. If you see 3-6 white slots, those are PCI slots. PCI video cards are pretty old. They were replaced by AGP video cards. An AGP slot is usually located right about the PCI slots. They are usually purple, orange or brown depending on your motherboard. AGP video cards were replaced by PCI-Express video cards.

Really, all you have to have is a PCI driver card in your computer. I'm pretty sure even Macintosh's can use PCI's, although they are meant for Windows.
