The high season is from mid-Dec thru Easter so the cost is higher then. The weather is best in February & March.

Most hurricanes have formed in Sept - Oct so you probably want to avoid that period too. Hurricane season technically runs 1 June to the end of November.

An excellent time for bargains is the last full week before Christmas (week of 11 Dec this year). Many places offer discounts because it is typically a slow week for tourism. The weather is usually great at that time. There are also many Christmas sales so the shopping will be good.

You should also consider using a vacation rental instead of a hotel. You can stay in a house/condo and cook some basic meals so you don't have to eat out 3 meals a day. www.vrbo.com is one site for that. You can search for the amenities you want in a rental.

Hurricane season is May to November but August/September probably the worst months for them.

Early December is a good time - not too busy and all the Christmas stuff going on. January is quiet but can be cold. May is hot and humid but not as busy as some times.

If you are going 4 to a room then Travel City Direct may be cheapest. It may be a cheap option to book your hotel direct and get a cheap flight. Flights in January are a lot less than May!

I'm not saying, that it's the "BEST" time to go, but, - almost THREE YEARS ago, - I was taken on a one week holiday, to Florida, - we went for the SECOND week of OCTOBER! We knew that there was a VERY SLIGHT risk of being caugh up, in a hurricane, but, - although this was on our minds, a bit, - we need NOT have worried, at ALL.

The truth is, that, the lowest temperature, we had, was around about EIGHTY-SIX degrees, Fahrenheit, - and, although we DID experience a short SHOWER of rain, - this was not a problem. In fact, we WELCOMED it, - because it cooled us down, a little. Everything, about that holiday, was just PERFECT!

On the WHOLE, I don't think that there's any other holiday destination, that I would care to visit, now!

I went in October.

No lines at all. Good deals on hotels. One shower in two weeks. Not too hot.

But places like Key West and Miami are a bit quiet except at weekends because it is off season, so not so great if you are going to party.

MyTravel is probably the cheapest flight but its AWEFUL. Pay a bit more. You can easily book hotel rooms and a car online (www.autoeurope.com for cars is very good).

Go during the "off" season (September) when kids are back in school. The summer months tend to be very hot and humid. I was down there in July once and it was miserable. Hurricane season is May-October.

i think october or november is probably the best time to go as far as queues and weather is concerned .as for travel agents we always use first choice as they seem to be the cheapest and the service is good
