I now am using a NVIDIA Geforce FX 5200 that came with my Dell 4600.
I bought a ATI Radeon 9250 Graphics Card.
Is the Radeon a good upgrade or should I stay with the Geforce ?

They are both slow.

If AGP format, you could have chosen ATI 9550 or the 9600 Pro. And there are lots of better/faster AGP cards.

If you only have PCI slots, tough luck. PCI bus is too slow for newer games. It is not worth investing in a good PCI card that just gets bottlenecked by the slow PCI bus.

AMD bought out ATI so it could be that you are on the right track. nvidia is good but if the perfomance seems better on the ATI then keep it. Your job is to try it and if it works then you are in control. I like both cards.
