The former shop owner and market trader from Winewall, Lancashire, described the little boy, who weighed 7lb 1oz at birth, as a "gift from God". He told The Sun newspaper: "I am the most fortunate man in the world. It makes me feel 10ft tall. "The baby was planned and I did not use Viagra or anything like that. I didn't actually think at my age that it would be possible to have a child, but he's a beautiful little fella. "I feel blessed. I look at that baby and I think, 'He's so bloody healthy and good-looking - how did I make that?'" Mr Calvert has six other children who are all older than his partner and range in age from 38 to 51. He raised them alone after his wife died 28 years ago and now has nine grandchildren. He told the paper he first met Ms Calvert following a three-year relationship with her mother. She was 16 at the time and joined him on caravan holidays with his children. Jamie was born at Airedale Hospital, near Keighley, West Yorkshire

I don't like my farther; never have. But I love my mother 'n wouldn't know what to do... Because if I tried marrying someone my farther didn't approve of, then chances are my mother would side with him and naturally he'd be a pain about it. But to me, my farther, 'giving me away', is a loud of BS. I am my own person and don't need to 'given' to some guy. I'm not a doll....

I'm a good judge of character, though. So even if my farther didn't approve (which is unlikely.) I'd still know the person better than him. So he'd really have no say in it. I mean 1 guy, whom my eldest sister was engaged to, had a terrible past. He did some pretty dumb thing 'n somethings weren't he didn't even do. But my parents excepted him, so that should tell ya something....

Anyways, to actually answer your question; yes I would. because it's my life, my choice and my mistakes to make if I make them. I'll take my parents wisdom but avoid getting some of my own...

I love my dad more then life in itself. If he really was against it. No, I wouldn't marry that man.

If I truly truly TRULY loved the man I wanted to marry, yes, i would still do it. After trying my very hardest to convince my dad that he shouldn't be against it.

My dad's approval meant a lot to me.

I probably wouldn't have married a man my dad didn't like.
