everyone needs love but some have learned to live without it by replacing it with a different kind of love. Sometimes they use their memories from times they were loved, or bury themselves in books and love what they read, etc. So it all boils down to some sort of love or replacement for love, affection, attention. on either the side of the person or the object or book or movie or pet or whatever.

I think that only the completely cold- hearted are able to live without love. How do you think they got that way to begin with? Love is the breath of life for everyone.

We all need love and need someone TO love.
Some people have come to realize after years of seclusion(by choice), that they are unhappy due to their lonliness. They have forgotton over the years how to connect with people so they usually end up severely depressed.

we all inherently need love but it's the persons choice to choose who he\she decides to share that love with. If the other party doesn't want the love then they turn it away. I want this thing called love but I don't want to share it with someone who is crazy and paranoid.
