I want to make a electrical connection, with the magnet holding the connection together? Is it possibly? What are the draw backs?

Use a metal magnet. Drawback is if the connection gets hot you will loose the magnetism.

Very unusual - don't burn the house down.

I don't think that's possible. How do you connect a circuit with just a magnet?
Magnets can only be used to make switches or to modify an electrical current.

Perhaps you are talking about a relay?
Perhaps you are talking about a reed switch?

Both are useful. The reed switch is often used as part of a burglar alarm to sense when a window or door has been opened.
