How can I make sure this never happens again?

Dude, It's really just a bunch of P.R. - B.S. to make the "workplace" better. It's like, Oooooo, this is a great place to work, we recognize our staff !! It happened to me once and I didn't like it at all, They made me feel like some sort of kiss as$ Troll. To make sure that it doesn't happen again don't allow yourself to stand out so much from other workers, be Aware of what the "company" is up to with this crap. Do your 8 hours (or more if required or of you want to) and then get the hell outta there and don't allow "Them" to make you into their silly little pawn with the employee of the month crap !!! You owe "Them" nothing.

Tell you boss that although you appreciate the whole concept of recognition, that you're not comfortable with being singled out as top dude. You'd much prefer a gift certificate or a bonus. Either that, or could you just pick someone else next time?

4 cases::: 2 on the comparable activity, ( purely won bragging rights and $one hundred funds each and every time), my different activity , (there wasn't an worker of the month, purely year,so out of 10,000 plus workers, ( won a cruise) and my modern-day activity (present card and my image on the wall).. i'm at present nominated for worker year for this activity.

Make mistakes and make sure everyone knows it. It is pretty easy not to be employee of the month.

So far it is HR policy of your company to praise someone who performed best in the last months. Surely some of your colleague will replace you in the next months. So no worry and enjoy it. You have achieved it through your performance.

take the pic and have all sign it, tell them when they do, or don't. Just ask what they think and post the remarks on the photo. Send it to who posted it. and ask why...then again, you weren't recognized for your face, and if u did good work, now the face is what the good work represents. and u don't like good work??? A dictionary in ur office of good work for the month has ur pic!

ypou know call me crazy.. butr i am so grateful for any recognition i can get!. be proud enjoy it. i promise you will look back with pride on it later. keep it up!! dont be embrassed? im embarassed im a good worker? that doesnt make any sense.
