I really don't consider an 18 year old an adult yet. Just out of high school and still wet behind the ears. 20 I consider a young adult. I consider a 20 year old as a beginning adult. Most people really don't reach adult hood til they are near or at 30. Your twenties are usually spent partying, 30's are spent raising kids, 40's usually finishing raising the kids and thinking about slowing down. I remember when I was 18, 19 and 20. No way was I at a point to be considered and adult. Most of us aren't. We get out of high school and are getting our feet wet in the world at that age.

Legally, I guess it depends what the laws of where the 18 to 20 year old lives whether they are considered adults, but emotionally, everyone ages at different rates. Someone can be 13 years old and be an emotional adult, and someone else can be 65 years old and never had reached adulthood

You substitute into an grownup once you're financially able to guard your self and don't could desire to rely on your father and mom. At 18 you will lease a automobile in some places, it truly is in basic terms truly costly. you may desire to purchase or hire a automobile at 18, get your guy or woman mastercard, get a loan for a house, and get an entire time interest. How are they too youthful to get married and have teenagers? In my state you will be 14 and legally get married. Getting married and having teenagers does not make you an grownup. once you may stay on your guy or woman by ability of your self devoid of help out of your father and mom or the state then you certainly are an grownup. What approximately people who do no longer bypass to college and don't drink alcohol? Does that cause them to no longer adults using fact they are actually not making use of "grownup rights", no it does not. My brother spent 4 years in college, beverages alcohol, no longer lots yet makes use of his rights and nevertheless lives at homestead along with his father and mom, and does not have any interest, does that make him an grownup at 25? Or am I no longer seen an grownup at 24 using fact I even have my very own residence, my type new automobile, a husband, a toddler on the way, and an entire time interest?

Yes. I got married at 19, and then watched my 19 year old husband go off to war. I think you have to be an adult to go through that and come out ok.
