I wish I was nicer, less materialistic and less shallow. And more like my dad wants me to be.

I'd like to be more outgoing, but being quiet and introspective has its charms.
I don't know how old you are, but maybe once you get older, and wiser, you won't be as shallow and materialistic as you are now. Or maybe it will get worse. Who knows. What does your dad want you to be?

Sometimes, I wish I was nicer. I used to try to act nicer, but I just wasn't happy, so now I'm just me.

i think people change all the time...life has a way of doing that to a person...i am who i am and i'm comfortable with that...i don't live to please any one but me...
