I take Pennington any day of the week. Eli sucks balls! He has Burress and Shockey 2 of the top receiver/tightend in the NFL. Pennington has coles who is maybe top 15. Cotchery is basically a rookie! Look at the all stars with Tiki Barber, Strahan, Burress, much better line, Shockey, Umenyoira, and all the rest of the good team and they go like 8-8 every year. Pennington took his Jets to the playoffs in a divison with the freakin Patriots of all people with 2 rookie linemen, 2 rotator cuff surgeries, no starter at running back, a new system, a huge hole at cornerback, a defense switching to a 3-4 with lots of holes like the NT spot and outside linebackers. Pennington still takes them 10-6! THE GIANTS ARE IN THE CUPCAKE NFC!!!!!! Eli is just overrated and if his last name was something like Eli Couch he would have been drafted in rounds 4-6. Big Brother only got him where he is. Pennington is twice the QB that Eli is.

Chad is NO Peyton either. Although not sure that I'd say Eli would be worse without Plex. It actually might make him spread the ball more. Remember Big Ben's first year. It was Plex's last year with the Steelers. Plex got the ball most of the time. It was after that season that it was revealed Plex was a ball hog. The Steelers just weren't really letting it get out. Once he was gone though you learned he was helping make up plays in the huddle and such so that he could get the ball more. I think he is doing the same thing with the Giants. Now as to what if Pennington DIDN'T have the two surgeries, who CARES. What if Eli was Peyton, then Eli would clearly be better. Funny thing is life isn't What if land, it is REALITY.
Oh as to the final answer Chad Pennington is the better player.

I'm neither a Jets nor a Giants fan. If anything, I'd rather see the Giants do well than the Jets, but in real life, Chad is better. Eli may become something some day. I don't necessarily believe the skeptics who think he's a never was and never-will-be. Chad at least had some good years, even if his best days are behind him. Eli may turn out to be servicable if the gets a good QB coach.

Well, on the teams they are on right now I think that I would have to take Eli just becuase he has the quality weapon with Plaxico and Shocky in the tight end spot. But if they were like say both on the Jets and were with the same weapon or on a team with lest that perfect recievers (not saying the Jets don't have any good recievers) but I think thst Chad would be my choice becuase he is a little smarter with the ball and can make good decisions and make something out of next to mothing and sees the field and finds the guy a little better. But over all I think I wil choose Chad, though not a very easy decision.

Chad without a shadow of a doubt.
He may have had his injuries, and there are lingering doubts over his arm strength, but he plays with heart, commitment, and he will prove to be a major factor if the Jets are going to close the gap on the Pats. Plus I didn't hear him moaning when the Jets asked him to sign an incentive-laden contract after the injuries. Remember this time last year when there was heavy speculation as to who would start? You're not hearing any of that this year, it's Chad's job to lose.
Eli, on the other hand, well...
I'm not going to be harsh and say that the only thing going for him is his last name. But he doesn't exactly help himself with his inconsistency. He'll have great games at times, but will then go missing at the times when the Giants expect him to step up. I know it can't be easy when he has a couple of jacka**es such as Shockey and Burress who whinge and cry whenever something goes wrong, but as the heavily-touted QB, he has to step up and make plays. And this time, there is no Tiki to bail him out.
Eli goes into the 2007 season with a lot more to prove than Chad.

Eli just lost one of the best RB in the game.
So unless Brandon Jacobs comes up big, Eli is going to have to pass more. This will make or break the Giants.
If he can handle it and complete his passes, he will look like the hero. If he can't read the Defense and struggles, he will be the zero.
Chad is the opposite. He just gained a top 10 RB in Thomas Jones. This will take the pressure off him and he will have to pass less.
I believe Chad will have the advantage because the defenses won't be able to blitz him relentlessly as Eli is going to be.
Asking which QB is better is kind of unfair, because it all depends on what kind of team mates surround them. There are 10 more people on the field with the QB.

I'd take Pennington over Eli any day. Chad has had TWO major shoulder surgeries and is still getting it done with his arm not even being half of what it used to be. Eli came into the NFL with all this hype and has had some pretty good weapons around him on offense and hasn't got anything done. Eli Manning is the next bust you mark my words!

I'm a neutral Denver fan, and I say Pennington so far, just because he has lead his team into the playoffs three times. The Giants stumbled in thanks this past season to some last second heroics from Tiki Barber, while Eli did only enough to give them a shot. Pennington actually had a bounce-back season, and his two receivers both had 1,000 yard seasons despite his limited throwing power. The nail in the coffin is this: Chad is getting stronger according to what I've read, and in camps so far he is throwing the ball harder and farther.

If i had to choose one of these guys. I don't think Highly of either.. but I would take Pennington though he has probably the worst arm strength of any NFL starter and Will miss 3 weeks for a hang nail, he is accurate and can read a D well. 2 things Eli Manning knows nothing about

I think PEnnington is better because he meets his expectations in the NFL,,, average to the great. Eli diappoints a lot of people every day. Though if Eli is having a good day, he would excel Chad. The thing is though is that he doesn't have great days, Chad doesn't have great days, but he doesn't have bad ones either.
