ok, puerto rican aint a race...puerto rican is a nationality, somebody from puerto rico. puerto ricans, cubans, mexicans, dominicanos, columbians, etc etc...all fall under the Hispanic race. to me, race refers to the color of ur skin...some puerto ricans look more white, some look moreno, but Hispanics all speak Spanish. basically, Hispanics r a mixture of races...comin from a Spanish speakin background..but in a sense, Hispanics/Latinos r a mixed race...

It is true that there are truly only three races, but I won't answer this question based on that. Not that me doing so makes me foolish, but I can't protract on this if I use that as my opinion here.
I'm half Puerto-Rican. It is true that the "Race" is a blend of African, Italian, Native American, and many other groups that are blended into certain groups of Puerto Rican families. On a base level, most people interpret it as Italian and Black, but it's obviously way more complicated.
If you saw my face, you would see the multiple features that make up who I am. Then I'd show you the flag tattooed on my left arm. ^_^
It is a diverse ethnic group, but on a base level it is actually a mix.

Well, many races are a mix, but are now their own. For example, the mexicans are part spanish and part indian. The filipino are part spanish/asian/white. So many races have been occupied by another race, and intermingled with each other and bred into the whole bloodline of the people.

There are only three true races, according to most anthropologists. They are caucasian, ******* and mongoloid. Puerto Ricans are not a "race" of their own. They do have mixed blood, however. Some have more ******* features than others, and their skin color ranges from very light to very dark. I hope this helps.

Originally the island had its own Indian tribe . I forget the name. Then spanish explorers, bringing african slaves too , came and the 3 races were blended.
