my best friend just called (it 1:20 am) and she said that she just got in a fight and shes okay physically but shes breakin down emotionally and she wants me to be there so she can talk to me and i can calm her down...and be there for her! well i asked my mom and she just wont be reasonable. i've tried telling her this is an emergency and that i wouldn't be gone long. my friend is 15 minutes away but she has gone twice the distance to be by my side...all i wanna do is be a good friend like she has done for me. how do i convince my mom of that?!?!

Try to understand your mum's stand. She may not be unreasonable, she is juz worrying for you and your safety as it was already 1.20am. Which mum in this world won't worry when her daughter suddenly tell her that she need to go out on an emergency call at that that kind of timng? If you could calm down and explain to her what had happened, and if you were there, what you could do to help your friend, she shd be able to understand and even feel proud of you. If she still thinks that it is not safe for you to go alone, ask if you could get a brother, sister or even your dad to go with you. Good luck.

seems such as you haven't any longer been doing issues to earn a sleepover, else, your mom does not supply you the established "determine answer" of "using fact I pronounced so". i could say do no longer push this any greater effective for this evening. terrific area of do i could say is ask your mom what you may desire to do to have this pal over next weekend. That way she'll see which you recognize that obtaining privileges demands some artwork on your area.

first of all it is too late and you sound like a minor. What if some more stuff pop off, and you get hit with something? Stuff happens, you watch the news your mommy is right, hug and and thank her for giving a damn about her baby- your friend is a drama queen like someone above stated.

You can talk to her on the phone; I would never let you out of the house under those circumstances and your mom probably won't either. She may however, be open to letting her come there. P.S. Henry's advice will get you in BIG trouble.

You and your friend are being WAAAAAYYYY too dramatic. What do you think is going to happen if you don't go over there? She'll die or something?? come on, grow up! She'll get over it. You people really need to grow up and get sensible. Why do you always have to be so sickingly dramatic. Your mom is right, and you should get grounded for bothering her at this hour. Get a job!

No mom in her right mind would let you out this late to go anywhere. She's just protecting you. Give it up and go to bed. Call your friend and tell her you'll see her tomorrow.

go to your mom & tell her you need her help... ask her to take you to your friends house (so she knows you're not lying & just want to get out.) Let her know she can stay in the car while you talk to her. & Maybe see if you can bring your friend back to your place to talk all night :)

Honor your mother and talk to your friend on the phone. Tell her you will be there asap(in the morning?) She is fine and probably needs to sleep anyway. You will see her in the morning.
