This is another way to look at it. Sure the husband took vows And that is a huge betrayal. The friend gave him the opportunity .That is a huge slap in the face. They both made a fool out of you. The best thing to do is PRETEND you don't care if you are around them. But deep down in your heart go ahead and cry because it is truly hurtful what both of them did. Now there is a possibility that you are the husband or the friend asking probably the friend maybe the wife is hurt by what you did and trying to forgive the husband. If that is the case leave them alone go find someone who you don't have to steal from someone else.. I would be more hurt by the friend and try to work things out with my husband . It can be done.

I would be more hurt with the spouse. This is the person who you made the vows to. Your best friend is also a jerk for crossing the line that should never be crossed, but probably saw the same characteristics you saw in your spouse to begin with.

Without a doubt would be far more upset and hurt by my spouse,,, And with a supposedly "Best Friend " who cheats with your spouse, you sure don't need any enemies,,, The spouse seems to be about as low as they can get,,, Get rid of them now !!!! Once a cheater always a cheater,,,

Wow! What an awful thing. I think I'd be more hurt by the spouse. Your spouse is the one you have trusted your heart and soul to.
I've been cheated on by my husband and it hurts terribly, but if it were with my best friend I'd just immediately boot her out of my life and not look back.

Both have betrayed you - but the one who took the vow of physical fidelity to you was your spouse. That's the real villain in this scenario. The other person was a free agent - at least as far as the relationship with you is concerned.

I would be more hurt by the spouse, but best friend... wow, double whammy.... if this happened to me I won't be able to think of either of them with out feeling like going into a rage...
very deep betrayal... but I don't think that's a situation that can be reconciled.... perhaps the marriage could be saved after that, but the friendship is gone forever.

I would definitely be more angry with my spouse. I would be angry at both of them, but my spouse would deal with most of my anger. My reasoning is as follows: My friend is just that, a friend. He has made no formal or moral commitment to me, God, or anyone else. A violation of this commitment, albeit, will hurt like hell, does not compare in any way to the violation made by my wife. It is she that stood before GOD on our wedding day and took vows !!! My friend made no such commitment. Regardless of who came on to who, my wife should have definitely KNOWN better. Sometimes, your friends may betray you. Remember Peter betrayed Jesus too. Friends who betray each other were never your friend to begin with. A wife who sleeps with my friend is a adulterer. It is illegal (in some states) for people to engage in adultry. In no state in the union will my friend go to jail for sleeping with my wife. Therefore one definitely carries more weight. I would probably beat the hell out of my friend. My wife, I might have to hire O.J. ( since he gets away with ****.)

The spouse, because if the spouse was not willing the cheating would never have happened.
