White distilled vinegar kills mold. I would spray a 50/50 water and vinegar mixture on the mold. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and wipe it off.

Another option is borax. Borax also disinfects, kills mold and bleaches but isn't caustic like bleach. Mix 50/50 bora and water. Apply it to the mold and let it sit a few minutes.

Or ½ c, vinegar,½ c. borax in warm water. Apply with a sponge or spray bottle.

Use 50% Bleach and 50% water in a spray bottle. Be careful that this does not remove the paint. So try a test spot first.

On tile, scrub after using the bleach solution with a good stiff brush. Be sure to wear a mask. If the mold is thick, it could get into your lungs and cause resperatory problems!

You can use an old toothbrush in smaller areas. Just throw it out when you are done.

I have heard of people trying ammonia, but it does not neccesarilly kill the mold.

Bleach kills molds of all kinds. Other remedies will slow down the growth but bleach kills. It will not be so good for you so stay clear of the fumes. The addition of a wetting agent like TSP will wet the solution to penetrate the coatings that protect the mold. The fibers that coat the mold will protect the mold from the bleach. It takes a period of time and wetting for the bleach to do a thorough job. Anti biotic are effective and are expensive. The use is a last resort. A small amount of acid will also wet the solution. Never use ammonia to wet the solution results are harmful.

From everything I have been reading lately not only does vinegar clean your windows streak free but it also gets rid of mold and mildew plus it is supposed to keep it from returning. You can use it full strength with a bit of baking soda mixed in.

Vinegar is a mainstay of the old folk recipes for cleaning, and with good reason. The vim of the vinegar is that it kills bacteria, mold, and germs.

"Kills" primer.

However, if the mold is black, you should have it checked by a professional. It can be potentially deadly.
