Typing is not the chief skill. You should be familiar with the key board (10-finger typing).
You need a solid understanding of mathematics, data structures, logic and the environment you're programming.
Accuracy is more important than speed.

There is no requirement to know how to type to be a software engineer. Of course, it certainly makes you more productive.
IF you have basic typing skill and type at least 40wpm you should be fine. You'll be much faster with practice and you'll get plenty of practice.
I type over 100 wpm (I'm not a software engineer, I'm an electrical engineer). When I program I type very slowly.. you spend more time thinking your program through.
Your co-workers will laugh at you though if you have to look at the keyboard to type.

I use 3 finger each on both hands, I type not as fast as others. But I'm a software engineer! How? I use my logic skills.

This is not relevant. More important is how good thinker you are, how good you know the language you program with, how good you know the algorhithms. This is the most time consuming part of the programming process. You have to have an idea how the program will look before start typing. When you know this the typing goes pretty fast.

typing speed is not as important for a software engineer as it is (was) for a typist (a vanishing occupation). Your knowledge of how to design and build programs matters more, as well as your ability to translate requirements into working programs.
Don't worry. Get a basic education in programming and the rest will come on the job.

I could think of many other skills you'd need for that job than typing, which ranks pretty low on the list.
