Hi there! I'm currently dress-hunting for a school event that requires formal attire. Right now, I'm seeking advice on the best options for me out there, given my skin tone and features. My physique is more Tyra Banks than Heidi Klum, and I have a short-to-normal-sized neck, a round face, and reddish-white complexion. I stand at 5 ft. 6, and I've been told I have broad shoulders. Given all those specifications, what dress cuts and necklines would be best for me? My school is pretty conservative, so tube-, strapless-, backless-, and low-cut dresses are an absolute no-no. Any suggestions with regards to colors or patterns? Pics of ideal dresses would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance! :]

Oh, and I have jet-black, shoulder-length hair and really dark brown (almost black) eyes. :]

Try a v-neck, scoop-neck, or boat-neck; in a wrap, princess-seamed, sheath or sundress. [ lengthens neck, shows off hourglass figure ]
No tight satin, or very full skirts.
Try a solid, or small all over print.
Colors would be easier if we had your hair and eye colors as well.
Go for light, bright pastels - like pastel pink, sky blue,
aqua, salmon, or lavender.
Good luck, and have fun!

ive always liked tube dresses because they dont show a lot of cleavage but you can still wear a decent strapless bra... idk if its the same for tyra banks.. lol . but if your school is conservative, just get a cute little sweater, like a three quarter sleeve or something to wear over your dress. that would look really cute :D

Maybe a really simple dress that doesn't show very much yet is very elegant and sexy.
