No, but if I see a spider in the house trying to ball up like it's dead, I'll smash it anyway and flush it.

No, I've never encountered a lizard faking death.
But I'm pretty sure that if I did, I wouldn't poke it with a stick,

nope i hav'nt had a reason to kill a lizard so far.. but i hav seen a spider and a lizard fight.. lizard smacks spider (which was kinda big and ugly) and then it started.. it was not for long coz both ran away after awhile.. the lizard din't pretend dead either..
