I am 28, male, with slightly wide hips and narrow shoulders and very self-conscious about it. I was told that someone like me needs to wear a boot cut or flare leg trouser that fits snug at the waist to minimize the wide hips. I think it does work but sometimes I get called a homo and I'm assuming it has to be the pants. They are not nut-huggers but they are tighter than what most guys wear. When I wear something looser I hate how it looks I think I look fat but I am not fat at all. What should I do? Is there another way to create the illusion of a V shape torso without looking gay? What type of shirt should I be wearing? to give the appearance of a broad chest/shoulder area? Any stores recommended for this? I just want to fit in and be attractive to the ladies. Please help!

1] start doing pushups now - your shoulders won't get wider without help, but your hips will!
2] wear straight leg pants, not narrow, not too wide. They should fit at the waist without being tight. If you bend over and they ride up in your crack, they are too short in the crotch.
When you stand up, at ease, you should be able to pinch an inch of fabric without becoming a falsetto.
No sansabelt slacks, ever!
3] wear long sleeved dress shirts, always. They should fit at the shoulder, and be slightly bloused when you tuck them in.
Wear hemmed bottom polos, with hemmed sleeves. [ no banded bottoms, ever! ] Tshirts that fit. No sleeveless or tank tops, except to work out. Don't call attention to 'problem' areas.
4] Don't button the bottom button of your suit or sport coat, ever.

if you think the pants you have now are helping and you're comfortable in them, then go with that. don't listen to the other people, because i'm assuming it's guys that are saying those stupid remarks, and the thing is...last i knew, me and most of my girl friends think tighter pants are pretty hott, not to mention if you don't pay attention to what they're sayin, it just shows that you have the confidence to wear them and they don't which just makes it even sexier, so good luck!

My suggestion to you is to flow look at magazines and notice what they're donning (particularly style magazines!) you will discover what you're searching for in there. only approximately all shops carry all styles of outfits (Macys, Sears, JcPenny, TJMaxx, objective, and so forth...) you only would desire to spend time procuring for them.
