And now she's into the whole avoiding/denial/indifference approach. There's this guy in our class who she has been really close with (he even cried in front of her!) and lately she feels that
she's always there for him as a friend, but he isn't. So she thinks its a crumby deal.....HELP Does she keep avoiding him or just talk to him (which she has tried) Any other suggestions?

well, she should try to be the best possible friend, and really show on more than one occasion that she is always there for him. later, she can kindly point out "hey, i've been there for you through hard times, but where were you when i needed help?" hopefully this will change him, and she can realize in the meantime that life isnt always fair. but never push him away; it isnt worth it!

...he was a close friend and you would rather NOT talk to him - then be honest and let him know that he hasn't been holding up his end of the friendship. You have a better chance of not losing a good friend.

if she has already tried talking to him about why he is never there for her but she is there for him, and nothing has changed, she needs to just let him be.
