I saw a fish at a FISHstore, but it was on display not really for sale. And It had bumpy skin, it was black and white, spotted. It wasn't that big and it was like a sucky fish. Can anyone tell me? The reason I capilized FISH is because it isn't a petstore but a petstore ONLY for fish. So you know it's good ;D

Sorry.. But I can't really ask, sometimes the fish is there and some times it's not. And I can't really see them until next week. They are doing some remodeling.

It could still have been a variety of plecostomous, such as the snowball: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1032

a synodontis: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/scateg.cfm?pCatId=1163

one of the corydoras: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1558

a spotted raphael: http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/profiles/432.htm

or a loach: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=1590

ADDITION: You didn't specify saltwater at first.

It may have been something in the blenny group: http://www.tropicalfishoutlet.com/FishSpecies.asp?FishSubCategoryID=118&FishType=

Hopefully it wasn't a cat shark: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Display.cfm?pCatId=290

That sounds like the plecostomus we had in our tanks. The walls of the tank was kept clear of algae because the plecostomus was like a little housekeeper.

"Plecostomus, pleco, or plec is a general name for a type of freshwater tropical Central and South American fish belonging to the family Loricariidae. Plecos are extremely popular in aquaria for their ability to clean tanks by eating algae growth. These fish are typically sold at about 8 cm (3 inches) and may grow up to 60 cm (2 feet), and a few species can reach even more."

I would say it's a Pleco. I have some in my tank. They are very common "sucker fish" as I call them and sit on the sides and bottom of the tank eating the algae.

Zebra pleco? They are not true pleco's,but sort of a cousin. They come from the Xingu River in Brasil.
