I believe that a hypothesis is a guess on how something that has already been tested will turn out, A theory is an educated guess about something that has not been proven. I don't know if I worded this right:)

i think they are the same, because a hypothesis is what you think will happen, and a theory comes pretty close to that, if not exactally;

theories are hypothesis that have withstood some degree of disproof and are workable but still might be disproved some day hence still theories not facts.
