So i want an opinion thing here. I was attacked by a pit bull when I was four years old, and I wanted to know what people think, is it the breed that is bad or do you think it is stupid owners? I have my opinions(that the dogs should die, but I was attacked), now what are yours?

OK to the people who are saying that the ignorant owners should pay and they only attack in self defense, I was four, I was sitting on the ground coloring, why should I have to pay for the bad owner? Why should anyone who is attacked have to pay? Its not my fault that the owner mistreated him, so why should I have to be punished for it?

My opinion is the same as yours. I seriously wouldnt have a problem feeding some pitbulls some anti-freeze. I dont know how many people are going to have be hurt of killed by these dogs to get bans on them. But I guess my opinion doesnt really count because I have had a similar experience with a pit bull as you.

We got a female pit bull from the pound when I was 9 years old, she was a great dog she loved everyone in the family and slept in my bed. She wouldn't pull when I would take her on walks and actually ended up being attacked by a neighbors pit bull. It is the owners not the dogs. The same dog also saved me at the age of 10 from being hit by a man, she backed him into a corner and would not let him out until my mother came in the room and then asked why the dog was upset. Luckily for me he was so scared of the dog he never came back.... She didn't bite him or even growl she just backed in into the corner and wouldn't let him move. My uncle owns 3 pit bulls one is his the other is his 11 year old son and one is his 1 year old son. They love and protect the family. They lay on the floor and let the baby crawl on top of them. They are mostly just slap happy dogs! My uncle also owns a mutt... she is beautiful with log hair and when we walk them mothers always tell their children it is okay for you to pet the long haired one but stay away from those pit bulls. The sad thing is the mutt is a nipper who will bite you if she doesn't know you. For all you haters out their she has never actually bitten anyone but she will nip and she is fully controlled by her owners. But the pit bulls at worse would like them to death! I love pit bulls

Its both, pit bull are know to attack for no reason, any one stupid enough to have one is dumb .,and should do jail time if there dog attacks a kid.
and if that dog kills a anyone it should be treated just as if the owner did it.
I would have shot the dam dog.
go on give them thumbs down.
That breed of dog is still worthless.

till that dog malls a person the you hear ( I don't know what happen hes so good with my kids hes never dun that before.) and then some have the balls to try to hide the dog, like that dog is worth more then a kid.

Angie, Pitbulls attack if they are trained by the ignorant trainer. They may also attack by instict. But they do this only as "self defense". There is "NO" animals out there that are a cold blooded killer. The only killer is Man himself.
I once was walking by myself at night. This pitbull apeared out of nowhere. He stod right in front of me and look at me for about 18 seconds straight. I was so scared i started crying. I walked up to him to see if i could scare him off. He ran at me and started licking my face! I couldnt help but roll on the ground with hiw and hug him.
They are so beutifull and very discriminated. A pit bull is "the only dog" that "will cry if you tell it no" that makes me wanna cry thinking about it.
lets not discriminate these dogs, but yet seek justice for the Trainers.
Angie you keep asking "why did i have to the price for this?"
Its because the trainer trained him to attack: Humans, Other dogs, Or other animals, or any thing that moves in General.
So the answer is you payed the price for the fault of the Owner/trainer.
You said that you think these dogs should die. What is wrong with you?
That is the same as saying you think all the people of a certain race should die just because "one" of them punched you one time.

I think it's in the breed itself, but also the way the owner raises the dog.

Stupid owners.Why should all pit bulls die because one attacked you?Sure i agree that one should die and I hope your parents sued the owner of the dog.I have owned pit bulls and I know many other people who have them.If the are raised properly they aren't violent.

well both for sure...but i hate those dogs..and even if the owners bring them up good..pit bulls have some sort of anger inside them that shows no matter what...i hate them and think we should somehow make theyre breed go away for good

Any dog can be mean it doesn't really matter on the breed if the owner mis treats it will be mean

If a dog or human attacks another innocent person, the dog and the person should be prosecuted.
