I say he'll go to a team like the Jags and do good with Maurice Jones-Drew and the Giants will shot themselves and Coughlin as well. What do you think will happen to him after this season if he doesn't do good?

Hey Jags fans, just an example, because Leftwich and Garrad haven't proved themselves either

Eli has a built in excuse. He just points to Atlanta where after 6-7 years they are still waiting for Vick to develop.

Good question. In some of the games last year I wanted to see the backup because Eli was stinking up the field. However, the Giants have too much invested in Eli and will continue to try to develop his talent. That being said I don't know if Eli will ever get it done with the Giants. I look for Coughlin to be shown the door after this season. As far as Eli, I don't think he will put up impressive numbers until he gets a new start with another team and the Jags would be a great fit for him given their outstanding offensive line. But I don't see that happening for a couple of years.

Of course Eli will get the benefit of the doubt and all people will be calling for Coughlin's head instead. Eli will be given another shot for the NEXT coach anf THEN if he fails, everyone will realize two things:

1. It really WASNT Tom Coughlin's fault that Eli sucked.
2. He aint NEVER gonna be like his brother so stop sweatin him!

The Giants will then draft a new QB and make the QB spot open competition. Archie will make a big scene like he did during draft week (not wanting Eli to go to San Diego) and he will beg the Indianapolis Colts to bring him on as his brothers backup (cuz lord knows the Colts dont have one that could do anything if Peyton goes down)!!

Well, Bears fan, I don't think that Eli will be going anywhere. He may not be as good or as disciplined as his older brother is, but give it time. New York may complain, but Eli won't go anywhere, at least for the next several years. The big shots in New York are going to give Eli time to see if he can become like his big brother.

And he still won't be going to the Jaguars, either. Haven't you heard that the Jags are trying to get Culpepper out of Miami?

Well, if his numbers go down this year and the giants miss the playoffs then I think that this Manning will be out of a job. But not for long, becuase there might be a few team that could pick him up and improve. Like maybe the Lions to add some depth or maybe even the Texans if Matt Shawb dosn't do too good, or to add some compitition.

Nothing will happen to Eli... his last name is Manning so no matter how bad he does he will always have a spot on the Giant's roster. There is no way they will give up on him considering what they did to get him... they let go of Phillip Rivers to get Eli Manning and they will never prove the doubters right by "admitting defeat" and letting go of Eli Manning. He could have a negative quarterback rating all year long and they will still hold onto him and trust that he will get better... it's all a matter of pride at this point.

Wow uh, We dont want Eli here in Jacksonville.... Byron leftwich is going to do fine... But, Eli in Jacksonville, Not going to happen.

Leftwich had surgery on his ankle, and he says he feels the best that he has felt since he has been with the Jaguars. This year is his last year of his contract, So i think that he will step it up and have a good season.

Eli won't be traded. If he doesn't get the job done, Coughlin will be fired (what a surprise) and the Giants will be stuck with a team who needs help and a QB who is nothing like his brother

I don't think he has what it takes to get the job done now, let alone in the upcoming season. Eli is a bust with a weak arm, and no confidence. The Giants should trade him for some good draft picks in 2008, if they want to succeed.

Then the #1 pick label becomes an albatross. If he was picked #33, he'd be OK. #1, however gets the "bust" label and it sticks.

The Jags? It depends. This year the Jags could get a guy we never heard of pulling a Kurt Warner or Tom Brady.

Losing Tiki I would imagine the Giants are in trouble this year! Eli will not be the public fall guy, that will be Coughlin. Who should've been whacked last year!

Eli must be dreaming of being in SD! What a pathetic loser! Serves him right after his draft day garbage!
