Transiting Mars in my 7th house is Opposed Natal Uranus and true node in my 1st house and is also in conjunct with my native chiron. Also, transiting uranus in the 5th house is opposed my natal moon, sun, mercury and pluto in my 12th house. Is this bad? Can someone shed some light on what is going on in my life? This is important for me. Any help at all that you could offer would be great! Thank you!

The transit of Mars through your 7th house and in opposition to your Uranus/Node is a relatively minor and temporary influence. However, it will have some sort of effect around the 2-3 days that it is exact. Since Mars is transiting your 7th house, it is very likely to impact on how you relate to others. Mars is the planet of conflict, while Uranus is the planet of the unpredictable. Consequently, one possible influence is a sudden and unanticipated argument, particularly with a male, since Mars rules men.

Nevertheless, there are numerous other possibilities, since Mars and Uranus, like all the other planets, rule a number of areas in life and all influences are personalised by the individual's chart. My best suggestion is that you take note of how the Mars/Uranus transit affects you on this occasion, since it is highly likely that you will be affected in a similar way the next time Mars makes a transit to your natal Uranus. By this means, you will be able to narrow down the possible effects and thus be in a better position to predict the influence on you in the future.

In relation to the Uranus transit to your natal Moon, Mercury etc, this has not yet occurred. Transiting Uranus is currently at 18 degrees Pisces. Your Moon is at 26 degrees Virgo and your Mercury is at 27 degrees Virgo. Uranus will not impact these positions until 2009. Moreover, it will not oppose your Sun until 2010 and your Pluto will not be affected until 2013. So it will be a long while yet before you experience these Uranus influences and it will be over a long period of time.

However, Uranus has been hovering over your Ascendant over the past year and it will impact this angle again in December this year. At this time, Uranus will be forming a quincunx aspect with your Ascendant, which is quite powerful in its effects. I think you already have evidence of Uranus's effect on you through your newly emerged interest in astrology (Uranus rules astrology).

Generally speaking, powerful Uranus transits tend to bring the unusual and unconventional into our lives. It often produces interesting, unconventional, unpredictable and unstable relationships, particularly with Aquarians. When Uranus aspects your Mercury, you can expect to be reading up on and researching astrology in a big way, since Mercury rules reading and study.

I have had personal experience of a Uranus transit to my Sun, Moon, Mercury and Pluto, and in each case the effect was fun and exciting. When Uranus opposed my Sun, Moon and Pluto, I studied astrology seriously for the first time, even though I had been interested in it for a long time before. I also formed a very strong friendship with an Aquarian, which continues to this day. When Uranus transited my Mercury, I travelled overseas (Mercury rules travel and Uranus rules planes). Again, the experience was exciting and enjoyable.

First it is important to understand the frequency of retrogrades. The outer planets are retrograde about 44% of the time. That means 44% of the population is affected. Therefore, I struggle with the concept that we feel it that strongly, perhaps through the stations, but not directly. I like the word exceptionally for a retrograde, they behave differently, not necessarily opposite of a direct. They process the energy of the planet in an exceptional way. When it comes to aspects, there is that common thread of a natal chart has soft aspects such as a sextiles, and one has a square in transits, that square is not felt so strongly. However, I would not suggest that it behaves the opposite way. What book are you getting this from?

Try living your life and make a difference and make your own fate rather than letting hokey astrology writers tell you how to live.
