No, nor should it be. Consistent rule by one party (either party) is bad for the country. The Republicans are just going to be down for a while, then the Democrats will do too many stupid things for the public to tolerate, and Republicans will be back in. Shortly after that, Republicans will do too many stupid things for the public to tolerate...

Hooray! I got a "thumbs down" for suggesting one party rule is a bad thing. Isn't my statement the direct opposite of the communism and socialism that the right constantly accuse Democrats of supporting?????????

i would like to think so but the right is well financed and could very well buy another presidency just like they have with the last two elections.
the supreme court is set for the next 30 years and will be very influential in helping to support the agenda of the right wing.

No they will regroup, they have learned a big lesson, (the folks are watching us), but they have to get rid of Bush, McCain, Graham, and a few others. The republicans will come back, because the democrats are a bunch of liberal socialist, and the people won't put up with their nonsence for to long.

No. Americans have short memories. Give them eight years, twelve at the most, and they will probably be back in power.

No, right now the Democrats are in worse shape because their congress is at less than 20% approval rating and our Republican president is at more than 30% approval rating.
