No!
Whenever someone tells you something ("good" advice, traumatic experiences, bad things that can happen, etc.), add it to your list of questions to ask your doctor during your next prenatal visit. Your doctor will tell you what's up.
Also do your own research. Or just ask us here at YA :)
People have all kinds of advice and opinions. It's just amazing! Take it with a grain of salt.
But...if you're tired all the time, mention this to your doctor to have it checked out. It's normal to be tired during pregnancy but if it's extreme, then it's better to mention it to your doctor.
Now...enjoy your pregnancy and rest when you need to and pace yourself!!! Pregnancy is a marathon, not a sprint.

If you are tired then rest i have never heard of that before. My first was big and i was working then, he was 9 and a half pounds and i waited tables till i was 8 months pregnant. If big babies run in your family or the fathers family then you might have a big baby. Otherwise i don't think you can control the size of the baby.

No! The baby gains most of its weight in the last month of pregnancy. You are tired because your body is making another human being.
Sleep as much as you want while you are pregnant because even when you are sleeping your body is working very hard.
Good luck!

That's silly! If that were true, everyone would be having huge babies! I know most women are exhausted and take the occasional nap...I know I could sleep all day and all night most days. It's definitely not an indicator of size.

I've never heard that. I HAVE heard (and have experienced) that fatigue is a completely normal symptom of pregnancy and that you shouldn't push yourself to exhaustion. Take naps and enjoy resting while creating this new life. It's the one time in your life that you can sleep more without feeling guilty. :)

No that is not true. How big the baby is at birth is determined by so many other factors.

No. The first trimester it is completely normal to be exhausted (and to continue throughout.) The only things that can "make" your child bigger are a) genetics and b) gestational diabetes.
Congrats! Rest - you need it to make that baby!
